DESCRIPTION:May is Mental Health Awareness month\, and St. Tim’s will be partnering with NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) to offer a Mental Health 101 forum. Together\, we will learn how to: \n\nRecognize the early signs of mental health distress\nReduce the weight of stigma through education and empathy\nRespond with compassion to those seeking help\n\nThe presentation includes practical information\, real-life experiences\, and guidance on fostering compassionate spaces within faith settings.  \n  \nBy being equipped with these tools\, we aren’t just learning information; we are building a more compassionate\, caring world where no one has to struggle alone. \nWhether you are struggling\, supporting someone who is or you suspect may be struggling\, or you simply want to be prepared and resourced to be a safe space\, please join us on Sunday\, May 31 at noon in the church sanctuary for this presentation. Feel free to bring a bagged lunch.
