Creation Care

Plant cuttings in pots that say "we care about the environment"

At St. Timothy’s, we commit to form and restore loving, liberating, life-giving relationships with all of Creation.

In Jesus, we learn that God so loved the whole world. We follow Jesus, so we love the world God loves. Genesis 2:15 says “The Lord God took the human and put them in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

We work to reduce our carbon footprints both in our homes and our church.

We work on environmental justice because we recognize that the climate crisis is a global emergency that impacts most profoundly those who have done the least to cause it. We can help restore the world by educating our community about our changing climate and the ways we can have an impact, by inspiring people to action and giving them hope though stories of scientific advances to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the unavoidable effects of climate change, and by supporting legislation that will mandate changes to protect God’s creation.
We invite everyone to join us in these efforts!
