After Jamie read the opening prayer, Nikky led us in a Lectio on Psalm 118: 19-26. At each of the three readings of the passage, we looked for what caught our minds/hearts. At the third reading, we contemplated what something in the passage meant for us. Nikky suggested that reading Psalm 118 is a good preparation for Holy Week.
The vestry then looked at our goals and went through the reports. Our discussion led to the new website launched on the day of the meeting. Take a look at it!
We are pleased that more social justice work is being done, such as preparing for and participating in the NO Kings Day. Thank you, Carol, Chrissy and all who are involved.
Preschool is still/again in need of a teacher. Nikky explained why there are just not teachers available. Using funds from a restricted preschool account, we are engaging help from an expert both for Sue and for the teaching staff.
Larry Mendoza gave the finance report. Things are stable. Now Larry is working with Vance to understand the dozens of designated fund accounts. They may have some suggestions for how these accounts could be simplified.
After talking about thank you notes and prayer requests, Joan (along with Bill and Jen) led the closing prayers.
