Our Vestry meeting began with a beautiful, guided meditation led by Rev. Nikky, followed by a discussion of three Vestry goals for 2026.
The first is “Invite Welcome Connect,” an Episcopal program focused on evangelism, hospitality, and building deeper relationships within the church community. The team is also considering ways to connect parishioners through local environmental organizations and related outreach opportunities. Our second goal focuses on expanding St. Tim’s social media presence to share updates and events for the church and these efforts are going very well. The third goal is to create and expand mid-week opportunities for connection across the congregation. There is already a great list of these opportunities available on our website.
Highlights from Rev. Nikky’s Rector’s Report included an update on the Preschool. The staff is working hard to prepare for the new school year, and as the program continues to grow, the new Director is doing excellent work tracking expenses and strengthening the program’s financial management. We also spent time discussing Peter Sammel’s Retirement Party and the latest details from the Facilities Report.
We closed our meeting with Ros Barajas leading us in prayers from the Compline Night Liturgy.
