Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday (from the Latin mandatum, commandment) celebrates the Last Supper and the institution of the Eucharist, when Jesus washed his disciples feet and gave us the commandment to “love one another as I have loved you.” We gather for a Eucharistic liturgy and wash one another’s feet in response to this direction from our Lord.
