Climate Care: Episcopalians Building Moral Power for Climate Action and the Common Good

Wildfires in France

Politicians around the world lack the will to work on stopping the climate from changing. Every day we read about more intense climate disasters fueled by our warming planet. The human and economic costs of these disasters are immense. Clearly spending money on prevention will reduce suffering and save money over time, yet many politicians don’t act. Some don’t believe they can make a difference, some feel the cost of eliminating the burning of fossil fuels and mitigation of these disasters is too high, and many receive money from the oil and gas industry that only goes to those who do nothing to stop the burning of fossil fuels.

We know there is power in numbers. We need to work together to save the world we love for future generations. Join Episcopalians from the nine Western states on September 25-27 in Salt Lake City as we work to build our moral power for Climate Action. We will share what we are doing in many dioceses, learn from each other and our native American communities, and provide resources for leaders to take home to build actions in their communities to make a difference.
