Making Room: Embracing a More Spacious Christianity

Christianity at its best invites us to open our hearts and our lives wide. To embrace rather than fear the paradoxes that come with being human in God’s beautiful but fractured world. During this retreat, we will consider some of these paradoxes, and reflect on how we might live into them with more courage, trust, and resilience. How do we make room for lament and hope at the same time? What does it mean to dwell with uncertainty, while still holding fast to God’s Good News? What helpful role might doubt play in a committed life of faith? Through teaching, journaling, meditation, and guided conversation, we will explore these questions together.
